Stroll the lush gardens and explore galleries housing over 1,200 Greek, Roman, and Etruscan relics spanning 4,000 years of ancient art, from the end of the Stone Age to the fall of the Roman Empire. Come along for an excursion showcasing some of the most fascinating locations on Camp Pendleton, full of rich and colorful history preserved by the Camp Pendleton Historical Society. Take a docent-guided tour of the magnificent Santa Margarita Ranch House, a stunning example of early ranch architecture in California. Built in 1827, this 8500-square-foot house continues to be the center of the ranch and Marine Corps Base life. Later this afternoon, explore Camp Pendleton's Mechanized Museum. It originally served as the terminal building for railroads servicing the base shortly after its purchase in 1942, where many Marines arrived to begin their training for World War II and Korean War battlefields.   Join us as the Aquarium of the Pacific celebrates its 25th Anniversary with new exhibits, events, and programs highlighting the remarkable natural world right outside our door. Home to at least 11,000 aquatic animals across more than 50 exhibits that reflect the marine life of the Pacific Ocean. Afterward, you will have time to eat alone, explore, and stroll Long Beach’s Shoreline Village. A waterfront playground located in the heart of Southern California!

  Autumn is a beautiful time to visit the magnificent Huntington, an expansive estate near Pasadena featuring art galleries, library of rare manuscripts (Gutenberg Bible), and 130 acres of one of the world's finest botanical gardens. Explore the museum's fabulous exhibits, then take a stroll through lush gardens full of vibrant flowers, colorful cacti, and other spectacular flora. 

Settle into the peacefulness of the Japanese Garden and relax in the tranquility of the Chinese "Garden of Flowering Fragrance.” You'll also get to celebrate the amazing diversity of orchids as hundreds of exotic blooms compete for honors at The Huntington's Annual International Orchid Show and Sale.
